Finding a venue that balances modern elegance with a serene, natural backdrop can be a challenge, but The Venue at Daisy Hill in Fayetteville, Georgia, nails the assignment. Nestled on 17 secluded acres just south of Atlanta, this “hidden gem” features soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and a crisp black-and-white palette that serves as a perfect blank canvas. For Hannah and Zach, it wasn’t just a location; it was the setting for a day defined by deep family roots and quiet, intentional moments.

Getting Ready: Hannah’s Morning in the Bridal Cottage
Hannah began her day in the venue’s dedicated Bridal Cottage—a space specifically designed for those bright, airy “getting ready” shots. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, the morning was a blur of laughter and champagne toasts. The cottage offers a private, stylish sanctuary away from the main hall, allowing the girls to relax while the finishing touches were placed on Hannah’s gown. The natural light in this suite makes it a photographer’s dream and a peaceful start to a whirlwind day.

Zach’s Morning: Fishing and Quiet Moments
While the girls were in the cottage, Zach spent his morning in the Groom’s Suite. One of the unique perks of a Daisy Hill wedding is the proximity to the lake. Zach and his groomsmen actually took advantage of the serene water, spending a bit of time fishing before the ceremony. It was the perfect way to burn off some pre-wedding nerves and enjoy the Georgia pines before Zach headed inside to finish getting ready with his parents by his side for those final, sentimental adjustments.

An Emotional First Touch & Private Vows
Hannah and Zach chose to skip the traditional first look, opting instead for an intimate “first touch” at the corner of the reception hall. Tucked away from their guests, they reached out to find each other’s hands, their fingers intertwining as they shared a quiet conversation and exchanged private vows. This allowed them to feel each other’s presence and ground themselves in the moment without breaking the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the altar.

A Heartfelt Ceremony Under the Pines
The outdoor ceremony space at Daisy Hill is framed by lush greenery and a classic pergola, overlooking the tranquil pond. As Hannah walked down the aisle, the emotion on Zach’s face said everything. Surrounded by family—including deeply personal moments with Hannah’s father, brother, and stepfather—the ceremony felt both grand and incredibly private. The way the Georgia pines frame the altar creates a natural cathedral feel that is hard to find anywhere else in Fayetteville.

Dreamy Golden Hour Portraits by the Lake
After the “I dos,” we escaped to the grounds for golden hour portraits. The Venue at Daisy Hill is famous for its sunsets; the light filters through the trees and reflects off the water, creating a soft, romantic glow. Hannah and Zach were able to simply be together as a married couple for the first time, and the resulting images captured that genuine, unscripted connection that we strive for here at Peach State Weddings.

Why We Love The Venue at Daisy Hill
As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I’m always looking for venues that prioritize the couple’s experience. Daisy Hill offers:
- Versatility: Indoor and outdoor ceremony options (ideal for Georgia’s unpredictable weather).
- Capacity: Can comfortably host up to 200 guests.
- Convenience: Located less than 20 miles from Atlanta and close to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
- Style: A “non-rustic” barn feel with high-end finishes and a timeless aesthetic.
If you are looking for a venue that feels tucked away from the world while still being easily accessible for your guests, The Venue at Daisy Hill might just be your perfect match.
