It is one thing to hit the first page of Google; it is an entirely different honor when your work serves as the literal blueprint for a couple’s forever. While my creative home base is firmly planted in Atlanta, my journey as a destination photographer means I am constantly traveling to document the defining chapters of my couples’ legacies.

The story of Daniel and Olivia is a testament to why I view this profession as an artistic partnership. It all started when Daniel stumbled across my blog highlighting Sand Key Beach as a hidden gem in the Tampa Bay area. Inspired by the secluded shores and golden hour light, he reached out to have me subtly document his surprise beach proposal, transitioning seamlessly into a sun-drenched beach engagement session right on the Gulf coast.

The story didn’t end on the Florida shores. In December of last year, Daniel reached out with an incredible request: he asked if I would travel to Illinois to preserve the next chapter of their love story. Next week, I am flying out to Chicago to document their highly anticipated wedding day at the stunning Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park.

The Journey: From Secluded Coastlines to Midwest Elegance
Transitioning from a relaxed, coastal beach proposal to a sophisticated, grand country club setting in the Midwest showcases the incredible versatility of story-driven photography. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, my signature style centers on capturing effortless connection, editorial composition, and timeless light—elements that translate beautifully whether your backdrop is a crashing wave or a manicured emerald golf course.

Why Silver Lake Country Club is an Unmatched Chicago Backdrop
Located just outside the bustling heart of Chicago in Orland Park, Silver Lake Country Club offers an exquisite canvas for high-end wedding imagery. Much like the quiet, intentional spaces of Sand Key Beach that originally drew Daniel and Olivia in, this venue provides a private, upscale oasis.
The Veranda Gallery: Offering sweeping, panoramic views of the lush rolling hills, the outdoor spaces provide a clean, bright backdrop perfect for elegant, natural-light portraits.
Manicured Gardens and Lakefronts: The weeping willows and reflective waters across the property offer a romantic, editorial aesthetic that perfectly matches a sophisticated Southern storytelling style.
Timeless Grand Ballrooms: As the celebration moves indoors, the towering windows and dramatic lighting allow for a seamless transition into a high-energy, luxurious reception space.
Want an editorial eye for your country club wedding?
You don’t need a local cookie-cutter photographer to get incredible results. Let’s collaborate to bring a fresh, elevated Southern storytelling perspective to your Chicago celebration.
